Re: defrost vents for dash replacement?
The last post on this page gives a good description https://www.vintagethunderbirdclub.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=91867#p91867 I cut some stainless steel mesh to push into mine to make it look sort of ok but I'd love a better option. Page 12 of the 1962 Body Assembly manual shows screws at each end ...

Re: Dash speaker cover clips need help here
There is an OK picture in the '62 Body/Interior Assembly Manual on page 13. If you don't already have this and the Electrical Assembly Manual you should get them ASAP. Most parts suppliers carry them. There is a PDF of it here: http://fordramair.com/new/info/tech/T-Bird_manuals/1962_Thunderbird_Body...

Try this. Not the pics you are asking for but it was very useful when I was doing my dash. https://tbird-dash.carswithfins.com

Top suspension arm - identify left & right
Hi, I think I messed up putting my front suspension together. I've just had wheel alignment done and they had to pull the lower arm as far forward as adjustment would allow to get castor into spec. That means the sway bar links aren't vertical - they lean back a lot from the arm to the end of the sw...

Re: Idle Control Solenoid
Page 56 of the Electrical Assembly Manual shows the solenoid feed comes from a T joint in the tube leading to the transmission modulator.

Re: Dash panel and switch’s order help please
Mine are all installed after the trim. 1961 Shop Manual 11-7 has instructions for removing & replacing the ignition switch. No mention of removing the trim do do it so it doesn't seem trim is installed after the bezel.
Trim should have a few lines of some sealant material under it as anti-rattle.

What are these?
Hi,
Almost finished restoration and I have these trim pieces and no idea where they go. Can anyone help identify them?
Polished stainless, about 18" long.

Re: Fitting/adjusting rear quarter window
It's an old post but still current. I've left the weatherstrips off and gone on to work on other parts of the car. Everything else is virtually complete now so I do need to sort this asap.

'lost' wire
Hi, I finally got my heater control back from the platers and installed it. However I've found there is no power to the fan switch. With lots of difficulty, I've found that I'm missing the connection from the circuit breaker to the switch. I see the thick brown wire from the switch going into the ma...

Re: Exhaust System
Hi,
I got the exhaust for my '61 from Waldrons. They were the only supplier who could supply it with the resonators. Also they can supply the exhaust with some extra slip joints to make the package smaller and save hugely on shipping costs.

Re: Ignition Switch Bezel Install
Hi, I finally have my ignition switch back in today after giving up on it months ago and carrying with other things. I couldn't get the switch spring compressed with a piece of wood under the dash so I figured out a slightly different method. I used chain pliers to hold the switch in position. I the...

Intermediate exhaust hanger placement
I'm installing exhaust now on my '61 with new hangers. Where the intermediate exhaust hanger goes in the wheel arch, there are four bolts. Does the hanger bracket use the top pair of bolts or the lower pair?
