I took a closer look and it seems the back of the chrome disk is a rivet? So i drill out the rivet, and the hopefully figure out how to put it back together?

How do you remove the chrome circle to access what i am assuming is a screw under it to replace these?
1966 landau.

I had troubles with my 1966 autolite. rebuilt twice. still wasn't great.
If you know someone who's an expert with old carbs, have it rebuilt.
Otherwise get a Holly 600.
My car now starts easily and hasn't given me any issues.

Found this thread, this is exactly my issue as well. 1966 Town Landau with 390. - checked gauge, getting power. - new oil sender. - new oil and filter - new oil pump - new battery and new alternator (1 wire) - other gauges work fine (except fuel, but thats another issue) I have a bought a compressio...

carburetor question - secondaries not opening

I have a 1966 Ford towncar. I purchased a rebuilt carb last year. Its an Autolite 4300 (I believe it is an 1967 off of a 49 State 390 or 428 in a Thunderbird or Ford Full size. 441 CFM) Runs fine, but i don't feel much power off the line. Gets better when im up to 50 MPH. The kickdown rod is hooked-...
