Re: Battery Availability

Rusty, the shipping cost would be $680 if delivered here in Quebec! This is impossible, it must be an error. I found another site. Same battery and low price: https://www.battsys.com/centennial-comm ... re=battsys

Re: Battery Availability

I don't know if you've seen this one at RemyBattery? It seems to have the same specs as the BatteryPlus one.

Re: white smoke/steam from engine?

I had the same phenomenon of white smoke while I was stopped at a red light last summer. The smoke was coming from the right side of the hood. It was oil dripping and burning on the passenger side exhaust manifold. I changed the gaskets on the valve covers and the problem was solved.

Re: Spark plug threads metric or sae

One of the inventors of the spark plug was a German named Robert Bosch. In the early 1900s, France was the leading manufacturer of spark plugs. Frenchman Albert Champion was a bicycle and motorcycle racer who immigrated to the United States in 1889 to race. On the side, Champion manufactured and sol...

Re: Tool kits

I have a small scissor jack that does the job very well on my 55 T-Bird. When it is in the closed position it measures 3.375 inches high and can lift over 10 inches. (it came from a 2009 Nissan Altima)

Re: Brake Lights Stay ON ! Changed Brake fluid #3 I had.

I installed a mechanical brake light switch too on my car. I believe ICON is a purist and he wants to keep his car completely original and without parts of new technologies. I understand him and respect his choice.

Re: Two dimmer switches

Just by simply lifting the mat, (which I should have done from the beginning) I found that there were no wires connected to the switch. Then we will never know what was the purpose of the installation of this switch by a former owner. Thank you for your suggestions.

Re: Balancing 1956 air cooled convertor

They probably balanced your converter to a balance quality grade of G-1 so the residual unbalance would be now : 0.57 gr. @ 7 inches radius and assuming a converter weight of approx. 40 lbs. This 0.57 gr create a force of 0.72 lbf at 1700 rpm so the unbalance force would be decreased now by about 30...
