Re: Radiator for a 69
Have not been on here for awhile but will tell you what I found out but sure you know this now. These new radiators are not direct fit. Lower outlet is smaller diameter. Location is higher on radiator. Fan shroud will not match up. Had have new core made and solder to my old end tanks.

Re: No vacuum to close water vlv
Have not been on here for awhile. I appreciate your reply and info. Can you tell me where I can get a shop manual to trouble shoot this. I have one that pretty good for things like removal and installing components but it covers all kinds of other fords so it is definitely not specific to trouble sh...

Re: Getting wiper motors going
Sorry have not been on here in awhile. Did you still need pics of how wiper motor lines from power steering? I actually repaired my wiper motor and it works great for now.

Re: Getting wiper motors going
I actually have the opposite problem. I replaced my power steering pump and now my wipers will not go off. I sent it off to Thunderbirds Headquarters a company in California. They said they could rebuild it then call me and said they cannot. I have looked everywhere and no one make a conversion from...

No vacuum to close water vlv
Air blows hot on my 69 Tbird even with temp lever on 65 degrees. Found no vacuum going to water valve to close it. Would appreciate any trouble shooting knowledge on this. It has automatic temperature control. Why couldn't I have the old fashion cable for closing door to heater core and temp control.

Re: HEAD LIGHT DOORS
I will need to remove metal grilles on my covers and cut slots(length wise) in them because now they are electric they can close on me( driving at night) due to some power interruption to new electric headlight cover system. That`s why vacuum motor system with springs always fails open.

Re: HEAD LIGHT DOORS
Disagree with a reply you got. Vacuum does have something to do with it. Springs pull them open only because that is a fail safe design if you loose vacuum.

Re: HEAD LIGHT DOORS
My right cover on my 69 would not stay closed(bad diaphragm). Replaced them both with electric conversion system. I would start first by disconnecting the top hose. Attach hand vacuum pump and close it. If no leak in diaphragm it will stay closed. If it stays closed then work your way back attaching...
