I will check wiring in trunk. I did see a wire that went no where and a hole where a screw should be. Seems like the simplest place to start Thanks

Why doesn't my gas gauge work? It reads empty all the time. All the other gauges work fine.

I used a fine tip black permanent magic marker on mine. It has lasted for 8 years now. Still good as new even after many washings. It was a little time consuming to do all four but I did during the winter when I wasn't using the car.

Gas Gauge
Why would the gas gauge stop working on my 1965 Bird. It stays on E all the time? All other gauges work fine. When starting car it moves just a hair then back to E.

What would stop the gas gauge from working in my 1965 T-bird. All other gauges (Temp, Oil & Amp) gauges work fine. A while ago I got water in the trunk and this is when the gas gauge stopped working. I am under the assumption that if CVR (CRV)?? was malfunctioning all the other gauges would stop...

Fuel Gauge
I got water in the trunk of my 1965 Bird. Since then the gas gauge has not worked. It stays on empty all the time. All the other gauges work. Am at a loss as to how to fix.
