Re: Proportioning valve '65
I am trying to remove the prop valve on my 65. Having a really hard time trying to get to it. Any advise?? I’m sure I’ll have to remove the master cyl. (It’s empty anyway) I really don’t want to remove the power steering hose as I just replaced the fluid. Please advise when you can Removing the &qu...

Re: 1966 loose alternator belt
The long alternator bolt with spacer, can become stripped, though it will tighten to a point not as exactly as it should, this could be a problem you are having, with the loosening.

Re: Crank bolt torque tightening
It was around 50Fmuch better than 30F or lower in an unheated garage, we jacked up the car to secure the flexplate, thereby being able to torque the crank bolt, the other idea of the chain or strap on the pulley was not working.

Re: 1966 deluxe wheel cover color
I myself do not know how 3D printing works, other than people turning out different products, instead of buying.

Re: 1966 deluxe wheel cover color
Scott6T6 the mask/frisket you wrote of is interesting, I wonder how hard it would be to duplicate one using a 3D printed?

Re: 1966 deluxe wheel cover color
I did mention that the Argent may not be Concourse, such as it is, painting that area where the emblem sits on, does dress them up, I did not use the Argent on the other part of the hubcap, yours looks darker than mine, could it be a shadow? While we are at it how did Ford put the black accent on, I...

Re: 1966 deluxe wheel cover color
There is a Ford product paint called, Argent, Amazon has it, I used it, they look good, though if thinking concourse, maybe not. Argent is the same paint that was used on the grill of the 66 T-Bird.

Re: Crank bolt torque tightening
jtschug I may try strapping the pulley to the frame, its just the thought of having to get the blocks under the wheels and then on the crawler going under the motor, thought once that is accomplished, it is not so bad under there, mentally, but still, at 76 I have questions as to why but thankful I ...

Re: Rear Main Seal Replacement Question
Thanks, I'll order a set of the metal gaskets. Anything in particular I should be looking for in the torque converter? A transmission shop like Amoco, can check out your converter there are different test they perform, it is heavy, the spindle from the trans. to the converter goes in one direction,...
