Re: Where can I get rear axle brake lines that actually fit!
An update: I contacted Mac's and the guy i spoke to was super nice and helpful. I told him that me, and others had problems with their lines fitting without modifying them and he said to just keep my lines for free and they would give me a full refund, and that he told his supervisor and that he wil...

Re: Where can I get rear axle brake lines that actually fit!
That sucks that no one appears to make an accurate replacement. I wish I could used mine to copy off of but the axle lines and the rubber line were all one rusted mass that had to get bent and cut to be removed. Looks like I'll just be trying to make my own again!

The horrible fit of the Mac's stainless lines. No where close to lining up with the rubber hose on the differential.

Where can I get rear axle brake lines that actually fit!
Short version with my question- I've ordered a set of lines from inline tube and from Mac's. Neither fit. I made my own and they sucked. Where can I order the two rear axle brake lines and have them actually fit my 64? Long boring version- So I never intended on going through the brakes on my 64 bi...

Re: Running open shorties?
As far as I know all the stories of engines being damaged by open headers have been dispelled as myth. Mine is currently running open exhaust manifolds while I wait on exhaust and I just have to move it around the shop. Sounds great but man is it loud! Like ozbird said I think your biggest concern i...

Re: Which trans is this?
I apologize I should have been more specific, it's not the dipstick tube I'm referring to, it's a small metal line that runs the length of the center section of the trans. Thank you for the information. Also, I'm having a hard time finding a trans filter that will fit, all the ones I've picked up ar...

Which trans is this?
Just a quick question for you knowledgeable gentlemen here. I've seen contradicting info on which trans I have in my 64 Thunderbird, 390 with cruise-o-matic. I've seen it called the FMX in a few places but my understanding is that the FMX wasn't even out yet in 64 so the one I have is an MX (aluminu...
