My '57 Holley 4150 operates ok for the most part. After sitting for 25+ years, the car started right up after changing the fuel/water pump among other things. I have an issue with hesitation when I apply too much pedal coming off a stop however. If not applied very gradually it will stall. I suspect...

Paul2748 you were correct sir, I put the old condenser back in and she started right up. I also noticed that the old one is heavier than the new one. Though I've drained the tank a couple times, I may head that advice and drain the tank or replace....thanks for the help!

Thanks, changed coil, same issue except now it won't start, it kicks a bit but no start. I do smell fuel while pumping the accelerator however. Driving my '57 for the first time today at highway speed, 55mph. Went about 5 miles then turned around. Car ran great initially then suddenly started missing/backfiring real bad, somehow limped home.
