Re: Replacing Front clip / fenders on 57
Thx for response OLDMICS, just saw it. No way for me to get out there. You don't happen to have a contact # for vendor? I looked up hills in vendors, nothing came up. Also called hills restoration in Ohio, thought that may be who you were referring to, they don't have a stand there. Tried to pm you,...

Re: Replacing Front clip / fenders on 57
Thx lew. I was gonna try to piece it together. Buy the fenders, inners, nose pamel, etc. I've got a great body guy and assumed he would do a good job, however it was suggested that I try to find a complete front clip. Apparently it's not as easy to piece it together as it thought and it could cause ...

Re: My 1957 restoration has a 302 replacement engine:(
I likely will sell it after it's done. Of course I understand it's value is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Seems to me that the best option is to find a D code w fordomatic transmission. I assume stock is going to gain the most interest. Wishful thinking I suppose that it would have the ...

My 1957 restoration has a 302 replacement engine:(
I just found out that my 1957 D code, fordomatic restoration has a 1968 ford 302 replacement engine (C8OE-6015A). I've been told it runs very well, however I've got some concerns and several questions. I'm a newbie, so I apologize in advance if these have been addressed previously in the forum. I ap...

Re: Deciphering my data plate
Thanks David.
One other thing I forgot to mention. I've read that the large data plate was replaced with the smaller data plate was in April 1957, so I'm wondering why I've got the older, large data plate for a car that was built in November, any ideas on that?

Deciphering my data plate
Hello all, I'm a newbie and am about to buy a 57 restoration job. I've attached a link to photo of data plate (I think) https://s25.postimg.org/tk1r65oq7/IMG_5270.jpg. From what I've gathered,it seems to be a Dcode colonial white, red flame interior built 11/12...but then I have no clue. There seems...
