Where are you located? I live North of Boston, MA and might have a solution for you if not too far.

Re: LED Instrument replacement bulb?

The signal lights on my 1957 are very dim and hard to see, especially in the day time. Often times I don't realize that they are still on after several miles. Anyone know if there are direct replacement LED bulbs - something where I do not have to modify any wiring but just plug and play?? As alway...

Re: Led taillight bulbs

I'm pretty certain you can put in LED's and it will be brighter. I think you might run into a problem with the directional circuits. I think just replacing the standard bulb with an LED might not draw enough amperage to make the flasher circuit work properly. You might be able to put a resistor in-l...

Re: 55 Standard ride height needed

Hi, I'm not sure if that will tell you exactly what you want. If they are running a different tire / wheel combination than you are it will be at a different height. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Exactly...

Re: 55 Standard ride height needed

Hi Chaps I am installing a 4 link on the back of my 55. The body is off so I have just the chassis to work with. I was going to mock the whole thing up with the leaf springs/rear end still on, but obviously with the body off, the whole unit is sitting a bit high. Can anyone tell me the stock ride h...

Re: 1957 Coyote conversion

I see it's been a couple of weeks and no one has responded. I know people have installed 390 FE engines and small block Ford's (289 / 302 windsor family). The only real issues I've ever been told was getting the engine to sit without having the exhaust / manifold hitting on the steering box. I don't...

Re: Reference Pictures for Rear Quarter Panels

Thanks, but not quite what I was looking for...I need pictures of the underside of the rear quarter, from the wheel opening to the bumper, as detailed as possible because I have to fabricate some of it. I have a rear clip for a '56 in my garage. I can take the pictures you want. Do you want drivers...

Re: help needed for my 55 bird

A proper installation would be to weld in the replacement post. I suppose it could be done without cutting away too much and fitting in the new post. I don't really see any way to weld in a new door post without disrupting paint.

Re: TRIM TAG TRIM DEVIATION

1957 is a very late production November 20 VIN 395309. Has a factory porthole hard top & convertible top. Also has a tonneau cover. Color is AA & trim XA. THANKS FOR THE REPIES. Isn't November 20 an early Thunderbird? Seems to me that they would be building the '58 model year cars by Novemb...

Re: Turn signals / brake lights not working on '66.

I answered your questions at the other ford Thunderbird forum. You probably need to replace the bulb. There is a troubleshooting procedure I attached for the brake lights. Your back up lights are switched through the neutral safety switch. The back up lights also use the same fuse as the windshield ...
