P/S pump "chrome rollers"(Eaton)

Hey all, I'm rebuilding the Eaton front-mount p/s pump in my '62 & found I need to replace (4) of the chromed rollers inside. Does anyone know where I can source any from? I have gotten not so much as a single hit searching online. Or... would someone happen to have any "mint" pieces t...

P/S pump chrome rollers(Eaton "front mount")...

Hello all,
I am in need of (4) chrome rollers for the Eaton "front mount-style" p/s pump in my '62 'Bird.
Drop me a message if anyone has any they would like to sell.
Thanks.

GM Alternator conversion

My '62 is finally up & running, just lacking the "juice"... and would rather NOT fry a new alternator. Does anybody have a detailed diagram of their GM alternator conversion they'd be willing to share? I have a 3rd Gen alternator with a 4-wire plug(P-L-I/F-S), though, only 2 wires get ...

Re: '65ish Spindles on a '61

For what it's worth, I have a '62 & used the DB set-up from a '65 'Bird. It's a striaght bolt-on job but you will also need:
- proportioning valve
- dual master cylinder
- 15" wheels
Other than that, it's just turning wrenches.

Other "steelie" wheel options...

Would anyone know if any later Ford model steelies(70's +) fit a '65 'Bird? I have some bad wheels and want to stay with stockers.

Thanks.

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

If a '64 pulley works, it well could be that the pump shaft length is set up for a '64-'66. Hence my call for dimensions from other pumps and what year of car they're off of. Would be helpful to know dimensions from face of pulley to centers of sheaves for future reference. Alan, Been a little busy...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Hey Alan, I would have to agree with you on the W/P. By the way, the stamped pulley worked out! I found it on e-Bay(the listing stated "'64-'66 T-Bird W/P pulley"). I lucked-out & got it for ~$20. ./image-archive/i1375.photobucket.com/albums/ag454/mac4ar6m5tr/20160407_121943%201_zpsqsb...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Alan, I forgot to include this with a previous post. W/P flange face-to-eng. block dimension: 7 5/8" I think I may have come up with a temporary work-around. I'm gonna try using a stamped pulley I found in place of the cast one because the offset is ~1/4" greater. It looks like it may work...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

I can't look at my '63 right now, but the pulley assembly that's on your water pump just looks wrong to me - like it's the incorrect part. Everything else looks like it probably lines up (taking into account the parallax from the photography). Later, I'm headed over to where the car is, and I'll tr...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Alan, I found my notes. The other casting # on the eng. block is "C6ME". Info from early searches: C6ME: '66-'70 428 c.i.d./Cobra Jet '?? 359, 361, 389, & 391 c.i.d. '?? 330MD c.i.d./Medium & Heavy Duty Truck '68-'76 360 & 390 c.i.d. '66-'67 410 c.i.d. Just not sure of the vehi...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Hey Alan, Thanks for your help. I truly appreciate it. I came across most of the info you've shared in my research but the water pump & eng. block are what's been eating at me... & again, many thanks. :thumbright: Also, gonna look into that OFS manual, as well. The pulleys all seemed to jive...

Re: '62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Seems like we have a lot of "first-timers"/Forum "virgins" recently...as they say in other places, "Search" is your friend, as is having all the pertinent service/repair manuals. You cannot own a car like this without them. With that being said, what are the casting nu...

'62 H/T: Pulley alignment woes...

Hey all, New here but an old 'Bird fan(this makes #3). I've already searched the Web & have scratched a deep groove into my skull trying to come up with a solution. PROBLEM: C/S & W/P pulleys DO NOT line up (fast approaching "frustration")! The P.O. didn't mention anything about th...
