Re: tbirdgarage.com not working
Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I've used Go-Daddy for years to host a family history website I created. I used basic html coding so revisions could be made with a simple text editor. But I did use a commercial web program to help manage it when first created. Never had a problem, except a few years ag...

Re: Door panels
I looked at these a year ago http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_thunderbird/ford-thunderbird-door-trim-panels-white-late-1962-to-1963.html On rereading I now notice the price says $683.95 pr. The description didn't mention that it was for a pair. That's a lot less expensive than I remember. Still a ...

Re: Speed-O Growling
I just swapped cars out in storage and picked up the T-Bird. As I was driving it home, I felt for the screw underneath the speedometer and it was there, just like the clock's. I believe it would be easiest to swing the wheel over to get to it. Thanks, Aaron - I will look again for a screw. I have a...

Re: Speed-O Growling
So, nobody knows, short of removing the dash, an easy way to access the back of the speedometer gauge? (there are no screws on the outside)

Re: Speed-O Growling
My car's out at the storage barn, but I recently had the speedometer out of it, and I think it came out as easily as the clock does. Check for a screw underneath; I'm sure someone who is more specifically well-versed in T-Birds can verify. Thanks, Aaron - man, it would be wonderful if it was just l...

Speed-O Growling
Well, I been away for a while, now piddling with small issues for my 62. I replaced the non-working radio, speaker, and antenna with a used OEM and it works GREAT. I am now trying to resolve a fiercely growling speedometer. I disconnected the cable at the instrument, which stopped the growling, of c...

Re: Instrument Light Question
Hi, I am having issues with my speedo and clock instrument lights and hope someone can give me some advice on how to correct the problem. I recently bought my 1962 T-Bird and none of gauge lights worked. Thanks to a previous post on this site I was able to determined the in-line fuse had blown and ...

Many thanks, Ken & Jonathan!
I have the 62 Shop Manual and an E-Assembly manual for the 61, so I will take a look at those.

Tag Light
Can anybody tell me if there is a factory tag (license plate) light for a 62? (quick search here found nothing) I looked at my car, and didn't see one ... sat in a local court yesterday, and saw/heard people cited for lack thereof (state law here). I wonder if I will have a engineer one, to escape a...

Re: Vacuum Cannister question
 Yes on the distributor line. It should ultimately be connected to the front of the carb. The vacuum source for the trans comes from the smaller line connected to the brake booster. It transitions to a metal line and then down beside the trans itself, transitions back to a short piece of r...

Re: Vacuum Cannister question
Sounds like someone disconnected all the vacuum lines from the eng. It will be a lot more peppy with the vacuum adv. connected. The hard shift is likely because the vacuum to the modulator on the trans isn't present. Without it, the trans thinks your at full throttle all the time and adjusts trans ...
