77-79 Exterior Windshield Trim - Just glued on?
Picked up a new project, a 79 T-top. Whoever replaced the windshield sometime in the 90s didn't seat the top trim piece just right and from the drivers side to the passengers side it goes from almost flush to the glass to about 1/4" away. I know on the quarter panel window trim on the back, the...

Removing the LOWER dash 77-79 - Ideas?
Hi, Gang. I'm oing to be swapping interiors and the only place I get stymied is the lower dash. After the complete upper dash, gauges, glove box door/liner, switches, bezels... are out, Im not sure what is the best plan of attack to remove the lower dash. Any insight into the best practices? Thanks ...

Re: 77-79 Wheel Well Moulding Part Numbers?
to clarify, these are the wheel mouldings that meet up with the trim pieces a third of the way up the fenders/doors...
not the ones that go all the way down.

77-79 Wheel Well Moulding Part Numbers?
In the market for a new set of wheel well mouldings. All four.
I removed mine and low-n-behold, no part numbers stamped on any of them.
Anybody have any insight?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 77-79 (& Earlier) Gear Shift Lever Removal and replacement (on Column)
Just a follow up. I FINALLY got around to swapping out the arms. It was as simple as I thought.
Protip: get a second set of hands to put pressure INWARD (towards the column) when reinstalling. Makes it much easier.

77-79 (& Earlier) Gear Shift Lever Removal and replacement (on Column)
I was lucky enough to obtain an NOS replacement gear shift lever and knob for my 77 Town Landau to replace my worn and pitted one. It appears that the swap out should be as simple as: 1) Remove the retaining Pin 2) Pull out old lever 3) Push in new lever 4) Replace retaining pin However, if past pro...

77-79 Chrome/Alum Side Trim Reval - Best Practices?
What is the best order/practices for removing the chrome and rubber trim on the exterior sides of these Birds. This would be the pieces in front of, behind and on the wheel wells, in addition to the piece on each door. The wheel wells are pretty straight forward (I think) - Just remove the screws fr...

77-79 Side Vent/Louver Removal?
Anyone have any insight into how to remove the side vent/louvers? I know they are push-in and made of non-metal, so they will probably have to be pried off. The only problem is, I've never seen a set off of a bird that didn't have the post cracked off. I have a set of moulding removal tools, but any...

(77-79) Carburetor 351W vs 400
Is there any difference between the 351W 2 bbl carburetor and the 400 2 bbl carburetor?
The tuning may be different, but is it the same carb? Can one be taken off a 351w and bolted on a 400 and vice versa?
Thanks in advance.

77-79 Headlight Switch Removal & Disassembly?
Two Questions: 1) Anyone know the procedure for removing the headlight switch from the dash? And related: 2) Can anyone shed some light on how to remove the knob/arm once the switch is removed? Actually 3 questions: 3) Does the knob/arm need to be removed first? Idiot friend just keep pulling the ha...

Re: 77-79 Removal/Replace Front Shocks?
Worked like a charm! Thanks! Usually there is a flat spot on the top of the shock that you can either put an open end wrench or vice grips onto while you loosen the nut with another open or box ended wrench. If there is no unthreaded portion sticking up to grab then you can grind a groove into it an...

77-79 Blower Motor Removal?
After squeezing my 200# under the dash, I see one nut (near the firewall) and no other fasteners allowing access to the blower motor. And that one nut didn't do the job.
Anyone have any insight on how to access/remove the blower motor?
Thanks.
