Re: Look for a new owner with questions

Yes I let them know the group here is very helpful and that I would help them as best I could should anything arise. i sold them a car in good working order but as we know they are temperamental and sometimes need to be spoken to the right way. I also mentioned the group meetings at Timmies ..They a...

Re: Repairing '65 T-Bird clock

From the guys over on the clock forum ..." There's a stop on the stem that will engage the adjuster if it's moved far enough."
I was just happy to see the second hand function ...now I'm excited to see the clock keep proper time.

I've got the winter to experiment and going to go under the cover and adjust the clock.

Re: Repairing '65 T-Bird clock

"As far as adjusting the clocks go, moving the hands less than about 10 minutes has no effect except to change the time. Adjusting more than that will cause the mechanism to change. With a bit of patience, the clock will run correctly." Okay that is very interesting ..never would have thou...

Re: Repairing '65 T-Bird clock

I took mine out and simply oiled it with nano clock oil... you could perhaps use sewing machine oil. Being a clock collector ... I'll echo what Paul said...please do not use WD40 on a clock of any kind unless of course its a quartz ..don't really care then. Mine runs a little fast and will need to h...

Re: 66 Convertible deck lid stalls on way up

My stalling deck lid has been annoying but not to the point where I actually got serious with it but last night it stalled more often and for longer periods. I had replaced the deck open relay not that long ago so I was hesitant in thinking that was the problem ..turns out it was. I replaced it with...

Re: 1966 Turn Signal Problems

I know this is an old post but very thankful for it ...as my signals suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago ...with a little help from the "in depth look at the sequential light system" I was able to get them going again. Funny thing is I cured the stereo's unwanted alternator noise alon...

Re: Curious as to what this Plug is

Thanks for looking at this. I didn't realize but the attachment allows to zoom in quite nicely. The wires going in are Red Yellow Blue and Black. Coming out are Red Yellow Green and then the brown wire that has a male lead that must be plugged into something. that brown wire is hot whether key on or...

Curious as to what this Plug is

Hi all, Let see who can identify this plug and what it is for? I found this plug ( screw driver pointed to it) after unplugging the sequential signal light pack in the rear of my 66 convertible. (My signals aren't working.) It is found just to the passenger side of the signal light pack. The plywood...

Got them in without the Moog but it was a fight. Won't be doing that anytime soon again.
