Re: Radiator

There are 2 radiators that fit the '66, one for air conditioned cars and the other for non-air. I have two of the air conditioned version. Either one will need to be re-cored as discussed in the previous message. Send me an e-mail or PM if you are interested.

Re: 67 Thunderbird 4 door

First --- Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on the purchase of your '67 4-door TBird. I'm certain that you will find it a joy to own and drive, especially after you spend a couple years --- or maybe a little more --- bringing it back to its original form. A "restoration" can range a...

Installing right side rear view mirror

I finally got around to installing the passenger-side mirror on my '68 TBird and thought it might be helpful to relay my experience to others who might be contemplating doing the same. As I understand, Ford either stopped producing and/or recalled these mirrors because they did not meet US safety st...

Re: Rear Seat Frame Advice

There are a number of Forum members in Canada, and maybe one has a spare seat??? Also, you might try CTC Auto Ranch in Denton, Texas if you decide to replace the frame.

OOPS! I failed to put the reduced prices in the first "link to the List". Here's the correct version.

HALF PRICE SALE, Many '66 TBird Parts

I need to clear some space, and hopefully find a good home for at least some of the parts that I have accumulated over the years. With a few exceptions they came from parts cars I used while building two '66 TBirds, but I believe that many of the parts will also fit '64 and '65 models. The first lin...

Re: 64’ oil dipstick tube

Nate,
You might try Bob's Classic Cars. Bob passed away a cople years ago, but the last I knew his long-time helper, John, was continuing to run things --- but the family may have liquidated the busines by now. John's phone number is 440-522-3739.

Re: 1965 landeau top replacement

I'm sure that by now you have discovered that replacing the vinyl top is not a simple task. The good news is the headliner does not need to be removed, but almost everything else does . Its been many years since I replaced the vinyl top on my '66, so my memory there is a little fuzzy, but as I recal...

Re: What is this part called and does anybody have one?

This looks very much like the vacuum line connector on my '68 which plugs into a mating connector that passes through the firewall just to the left of the heater/air conditioner housing. I doubt that it will be serviceable or that decent replacements exist. I used short sections of slightly larger I...

Re: VIN Codes.

First, I agree with your thought that the VIN number 6Y87Z is for a landau, and that it should be 6Y85Z if it is a convertible. (In case you are not aware of this, in addition to the data plate, the VIN number is stamped in three locations on the body; at the front cross-over brace between the headl...

Re: 1967 thunderbird coupe switches/buttons

One thing is certain: They are not original equipment. At best someone had a box full of mismatched switches they thought would look cool, and installed them without hooking them to anything. The more likely scenario is that they were hacked into the electrical system to get around one or more probl...
