Re: 64 Tbird big project- 4.6L mod motor, 5spd manual, IRS
I would like to see more as well. Looks like a big project. Most people would not tackle a car with that much rust. My hat is off to you. Good luck.

I like your attitude. Good luck on this. There is a lot of help on this board. Also check out thunderbird ranch. He has lots of parts and also has a completely black 64. I mean all black including chrome. http://www.tbirdranch.com/

Re: Springs - Suspention
I had the same thing. It turned out that one of the front springs was stronger than the other. I had a spare set of springs so I replace it. All level now. I had a 65 with weak springs and got new ones. Made a little difference.

Re: Brake light problem.
Basically it was just a matter of cleaning the contacts and plugs. Once you figure out how it works it makes it easier to fix.

Re: Brake light problem.
I am pretty sure I have found the problem. In the turn signal relay there are 2 groups of contact. The default position is up. This what the coils are not energized leaving the contacts in an up position and also the position where juice flows to the brake lights. I cleaned those contacts and the li...

Re: Brake light problem.
Yes I have the original equipment on it. I have replaced some parts. It's funny how everything else is working fine but the brake lights. I would like to go to the newer electronic box that does not have motors.

Re: Brake light problem.
The brake switch on the steering column is working as it is sending electricity to the brake relay and the relay is working.

Re: Wing window motor
I wrestled with that for over 2 hours and it would not come out. I tried from every angle. You sure the motor doesn't have to come off 1st?

Re: USA-230 Radio
It's not hard to install. I did not use the original speakers. You can mount them in the doors or there are under the seat speakers too. The 66 had four speakers all mounted in the doors. Sounded pretty good. It was the one with an 8 track stereo installed. I used to have an am/fm in the car but it ...

Re: 65 Thunderbird for sale
Forget it It's just a hopeless case of another Thunderbird headed to the great beyond. Several people have tried to buy but she won't let go. If the bottom isn't rusted out yet it soon will be.
