Re: Electrical Issues - not charging
oh, and as far as removing inner fender to get to wiring harness, yes it can be removed but it's not necessary. If you pull from the firewall side you will pull the entire harness through. It's best to pull from inside. From inside the car on the passenger side you can get to the plug. Just grab hol...

Re: Electrical Issues - not charging
I had continuity too but for some reason on the the new alt harness the white/black wire and the black/white wires were reversed in the plug that goes into the 1964 Alternator. As far as the AMP meter wire I think it makes a stop at the ignition switch. I have a schematic. Send me a good email and I...

Re: Electrical Issues - not charging
Do you have a new alternator harness? I ordered a new harness from one of the T-bird houses and it was improperly pinned. So chase each wire on the ALT harness from the voltage regulator all the way to the Alternator. It was a very simple fix, all I had to do was unpin the 2 middle wires and swap th...

Re: Disc brakes
Makes perfect sense, thanks for sharing your experience Scott. I would really love to bolt a new wilwood kit ( http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdFront.aspx?itemno=140-13654-DR&year=1960&make=Ford&model=Thunderbird&option=All ) up but as of right now they don't make a kit ...

Re: Disc brakes
I was under the impression that our original MC's had a bore of 7/8's....And if you keep going up in bore size you are reducing pressure but increasing volume...Am I wrong on this?

Re: 65/66 brake line question
Ok, thanks for the info. I'm adding a dual MC to my 64 but keeping drums for now. I'm going with a 73 mustang drum/drum MC with a Wilwood proportioning valve.

1958-60 Spindles on a 64
Ok, this may seem backwards but I'm wondering if I can fit 1958-1960 front spindles and lower control arm will fit onto a 1964. The reason I want to do this is I want the wilwood brake kit they make for the 58-60 on my 1964. I know that I can put 65 brakes and I know they make other bolt on options ...

65 Steering Gearbox on a 64
Has anybody swapped a steering gearbox from a 65-66 onto a 64? The only reason I ask is the 65-66 is about half as much to rebuild and I have access to one. I just want to make sure it will fit before I go though the motions and if it does are there any benefits besides the cost of rebuild?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Air Con and heater not working
Need some advice. I just got done putting my interior back together and my AC and heater are not working. I did not disconnect any vacuum lines under the dash (that I know of). I've checked the fuses and the blower works just fine. I've also looked at that colored wheel on the bottom of the temp con...

Re: Alternator upgrade, wiring help requested
I would appreciate any pictures you can provide of the wiring the alternator. Also, to confirm, the AMP guauge has now been disabled, correct? Do you have a way to monitor Volts?
Thanks.
Matt
Thanks.

I used these folks for my 96 Bronco wheel. They are expensive but the work is top notch.
