Re: Have you replaced carburetor & electric ingnition

Petronix is fairly simple set up and install, carb is another story, linkage etc needs to be changed, kick down , are you going elect choke, vacuum secondaries , yada yada, read read and read some more about all this stuff, the stock autolite 4100 with the .08 jets works just fine, not a rocket ship...

Re: AC replacement parts help

My comp, has king valves, or service valves, they have no schrader valves in them or some folks call them schrader cores, I don't think the guys in Ottawa (where he is having this serviced) know or have dealt with older systems, or they would understand there is no schraders required to charge the s...

Actually not, the 66 has more horse(s) and a sightly smaller carb ! curb weight is the same.

Re: Real MPG on a 66 with a 390

I guess we are all even, I had forgotten that the CDN gallon is larger by about 1/5 or 20% which would equal another 2-3 MPG so 14 MPG to the US Gal seems about right !

Re: Real MPG on a 66 with a 390

I can get 17 MPH, straight road, 90 KMH, or approx 55 MPH, , new carb with 1.08 (correct for a 66) ,new motor broken in with 4,000 K's, empty trunk, drive like a granny and you can do it, but I am with the rest of you , 14 MPH is about average, city driving even worst and spirited driving and I need...

Re: Rear Vent/Parking Release '66 TB

Re: Rear Vent/Parking Release '66 TB

Re Rear Vent, my rear vent work great, but the draw back I find is the interior noise it creates, specially on the highway !
