I just looked at my 56 and the point of the marker is pretty close to the edge of the pulley not quit as long as yours.

I sold my old AC pump to casco for $75, you could probably buy a rebuilt one from them.

Newspaper add

Going through some stuff and found this old newspaper add that I saved from the Sunday Oregonian January 1980 ( Portland) Joe Fisher Ford was a pretty big Ford dealer at the time along with Marv Tonkin Ford. I wonder if any of the 55 Birds are still out there somewhere..

Re: '56 TB Mystery hangers/supports

Whatever they were for in the past they don't belong there, every picture you google there is nothing there but the bolt that holds the bracket to the frame, maybe somebody had the exhaust routed through there at one time ?

Re: Installing options cost and difficulty

These baby birds aren't bringing much money lately, there's a 57 that came on with a lot of maintenance records with a no reserve should be interesting.

Re: Installing options cost and difficulty

Well, the yellow 55 Bird on bring a trailer only reached $13,750 and didn't sell, could be that there was no interaction with the seller when questions were asked, there's another nice red 55 on there with a no reserve, it's up to $15,555 with 3 days left and a black 56 no reserve currently at $7,20...

Re: Clutch mechanism 57 with a 312 engine.

I have a 56 with a 3spd o.d,so I looked at mine if it's the same the only way I could see it being lower on the engine side is if the steady rest mount on the driver's side is missing the rubber donuts or there severely squished, the steady mount rod is threaded so there is a little adjustment. Mine...

Re: Installing options cost and difficulty

I've said this before, Bring A Trailer is a good place to look at to see what certain cars are going for, there are quite a few T-Birds that come on and usually sell from the mid twenty's to low thirty's. You'll find Minter quality restored to daily drivers, lots of detailed pictures you can also go...

Re: softtop seals leaking

So, after reading all the comments I'd say the solution is don't drive it in the rain.

Re: softtop seals leaking

Unless it's a daily driver why would you need to or want to drive it in the rain, I know everybody says you gotta drive um but I will wait for a sunny day.
