Got it running Saturday night. Still have a million details to work out but I should be able to take it for a drive in a couple days. Still gotta put the exhaust on...it's real loud right now  ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/rokhopperj25/57%20T%20BIRD/AAATBIRDSTUFF029.jpg ...

Spent the last two weeks trying to figure out why I was lacking 3/32" between my converter and flexplate. I was finally reduced to adding two block plates to obtain .120" clearance. Dropped it in Wednesday morning and proceeded to bolt on some parts today. ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket...

Just seen your post for the first time. Beautiful car! Got any shots of the engine compartment? I am currently wheel shopping and I have been looking at some custom wheels on Allied wheels web site. I would like some info on your air-ride system. Is it an off the shelf item, who makes it and did it ...

I am going Colonial white on all the painted parts of the engine. ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/rokhopperj25/57%20T%20BIRD/NEWSHIT009.jpg In primer ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/rokhopperj25/...

If you are sure the fluid hasnt leaked from the back of the master cylinder into the interior floor pan then the fluid has most likely passed into the booster. If that is where you find the fluid then a booster overhaul/replacement is in order. When the boosters on the medium duty trucks that I used...

I will post some more pics next week. I used the BBK headers (unequal length) and they dump at the rear. I also positioned the engine and trans a half inch to the right for steering clearance. The March serpentine system positions all the accessories in a fairly tight cluster and poses no clearance ...

I have motor mounts and a transmission mount welded in now. Mocked up the intake, throttle body and air cleaner top to make sure hood would close. It did! ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/rokhopperj25/57%20T%20BIRD/abirdbelly005.jpg ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/...

Got the engine and trans pulled and sold on Ebay. Started fitting the 306 into the engine bay. Going to have to get creative with the left motor mount to clear the steering rack. Got the right side pretty much figured out. ./image-archive/i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h363/rokhopperj25/TBIRDBELLY009....

I almost went the Coyote motor myself with the auto trans. Found a build on V8 TV where they put the engine in a '55. It required a massive amount of work to make it all fit and frankly it just isnt that purdy! I have got a Ford Motorsports 306 crate engine on the way with a TCI C4. Watch my thread ...

Do you already have the supercharger? You should definitly do it! Get a blow through carb or the MSD Atomic. I just updated mine and it has software for that now. I put an Eaton twin screw off of a Nissan p/u onto my 4 cylinder Jeep. Anything is possible.

57 T BIRD, 306 FORD MOTORSPORTS TRANSPLANT, TCI C4

I am about to make a Ford Racing 306 crate engine and TCI C4 fit in my 57 T bird. I just ordered the engine and trans and a whole ton of stuff to put it together. March chrome serpentine system, Griffin radiator with fan, a TCI street fighter trans. Also ordered a Classic Auto Air A/C system and a w...
