Re: SAD, SAD, SAD
END OF THE STORY! I contacted the gentleman who purchased my T-Bird about it's disposition after the crash. He said that the Insurance Company totaled it. It was then sent off to Auction for parts or maybe rebuild. However the rear wheels would not turn, even in neutral. Apparently the transmission ...

SAD, SAD, SAD
As you may know I was selling my 57. A gentleman drove up from Houston to Greenville on Saturday, August 13th. He spent three hours going over the Bird from front to back. He finally made me an offer, and after a little haggling we arrived at a fair price. On Monday He transferred the funds to my Ba...

So Long Guys
Well it's with mixed emotions that I have to report that I've decided to sale my 57. I really have enjoyed this vehicle. It's been fun to see the attention these cars get where ever you go. Everyone knows what a Thunderbird is. But I'm a Street Rodder at heart. And bring well matured, my bucket list...

Re: Coker American Classic Bias look radial
I kind of thought the same thing, but was advised that running bias and radials was not a good idea. Don't recall the exact reason, but I could see the reasoning at the time. You mention wandering. When you install radials that all goes away. I could not hold my bias tired vehicle between the fence ...

Re: Coker American Classic Bias look radial
You will not believe the difference a radial tire makes in the ride and handling of these old cars. It's the only way to fly. Coker was a PITA to deal with on my OOR tires. Thy wanted for me at my expense to take them to a place that had a Road Force balancer. Pay for a re-balance and photograph the...

Re: Coker American Classic Bias look radial
I purchased five Coker Classics from Amazon. All proved to be "Out of Round" and had to be returned. I went with Diamondbacks and am very happy.

Don't you wish these Birds could talk? OH! what stories they could tell. But then there would be no mysteries.

Re: problem with Coker tires
I'm probably the one who posted about the 5 "out-of-round" Coker's. I've had my Diamondbacks since that time and have had no problem what so ever. Mine are actually Toyo tires that have had the wide white sidewall vulcanized to the tire. The sidewall is smooth, easy to clean with Dawn, and...

Speaking of Petronics. I notice on Ebay there are several units listed for over $200. Does anyone really pay that? I got mine for my 57 from J C Whitney for $80. Same number and everything.
