I noticed on the spacer between the booster & the master cylinder there is a spacer that holds a filter.
See: https://www.parts123.com/parts123/dynde ... uKeY=AACFP
If there is no filter or you are using an old filter, how does it affect the braking?
Thank you!

The Thunderbird Connection
I believe that the Thunderbird Connection is out of business. I live in Phoenix, AZ & have used then many times in the past. Their location at 728 E. Dunlap in Phoenix is empty & all the signs are gone. If they are still in business, not sure where? Their website still lists them at that loc...

Seems a bit steep - are you in the US/Canada? I don't think we would pay that much here in Australia, try one or more of the vendors, they looked after me with various bits out of parts cars. Thunderbird Connection and Birds Nest would be the ones to try. Graeme I believe that the Thunderbird Conne...

Brake booster rebuild
I want to thank those that recommended the Power Brake Booster Exchange Inc. /Booster Dewey. He did an outstanding job rebuilding my brake booster. I couldn't be happier. His rates are VERY reasonable too. Everyplace I contacted wanted anywhere from $275-$500. His total charge with shipping was $155...

Then adjust the NSS so that it starts without having to push up on the shifter. If the backup lights then fail to come on, you have a shifter/detent problem. Let me know what happens. When you shift from park to reverse, do you have to pull the shifter toward you to disengage it or is it very easy ...

It sounds like a shifter and shift detent problem. This could be a safety problem that you weren't prevoiusly aware of. You will need to take the steering wheel off and replace the parts inside that control the position of the shifter. I have a tutorial at: http://www.southsandia.com/forum/website/...

First you need a good sample of the original color. The best preserved color will be under the large stainless trim piece on the door. Take that piece to your local paint jobber and do a color match with his metallic color sample chart. I found one that was dead ringer for the original tinted lacqu...

Need to hold shifter up to start car?
My backup lights stopped working & the fuses, etc were fine. The garage told me that I needed a new neutral safety switch. I had them replace it. The backup lights now work, but in order to be able to start the car (in park) I must hold the shifter up. I never had this problem before. The garage...
