Its amazing that guys like this advertise parts for sale and then never go back to see if any one is interested. Funny how work and family get in the way of important stuff. I'm back and checking in frequently, so if there is any genuine interest in the hardtop, that has to be the first to go. I wi...

Early Bird engine swap

Five hundred years ago, I could have gotten stoned or hung or worse for asking a question like this, but I'm willing to take the chance. I really want to install a late 302 small block into my '56, but I have run into a little snag. Apparently, Tbirds have the engine mounted in a totally different c...

I did put it in the title. I didn't realize the title font was so small. It's a 56.

'nother rear end question

I'm getting ready to install a 8.8 rear end and I'm curious if anyone knows the spring pad angle. I vaguely remember 3 degrees but I don't know if that's correct or if it's 3 up or 3 down.

Great minds think alike. I had a pinion rotor on my last Factory Five build. I made adapters to use Mustang 13" front rotors on the rear with 4 piston Wilwood calipers, so there was no ebrake provision. I can't use the Mico brake system in Massachusetts. Ebrakes have to be independent of the op...

Rear discs on '56

I'm in the process of gathering parts for a front and rear disc brake conversion during a winter-long pitstop. The plan is '81 Lincoln Versailles front spindles, rotors and calipers along with a brand new 8.8 takeout rear end. The rear will have late '90's Mustang calipers with the integral parking ...

Tonneau instructions

I purchased a tonneau from one of the usual vendors, and the instructions are a grainy, 7th generation photocopy of a fax from last century. What I can determine from the instructions is that there are several disagreements between them and the Trim and Sealer manual. Does anybody have a set of inst...

Quick dash install question

The dash has been powdercoated (white backside), the instruments have all been refurbished, and tomorrow it goes to to the upholsterer for a new vinyl cover. Here's the question: one of the three funny-looking clips on the leading edge is missing. It looks like the spot weld broke some time ago. I g...

'56 parts

I'm wondering if there's a market for a Town & Country radio. It was not working when I bought the car, and I replaced it with a USA-230. Maybe someone can use it for a core or for parts. Speaker goes with it but it needs rebuilding also.

Make an offer if you can use it.

Thanks for all the tips. Seat/window problem is now solved. When I pulled the dash, this fell out, and was apparently not hooked to anything.

Any ideas what it connects to? Thanks in advance.

Got the manual and a few others. I'm not having an issue at the motor/relay end, just at the dash harness interface end. I'm seeing conflicting schematics and the car doesn't match any of them.

Electrical dilemma....guru needed...long story

I just bought this little red 56 about 6 weeks ago. I didn't pay crazy money, and I expected there would be some things wrong that I'd find out about as I went along. So, I discovered that I need a valve job and the soft top needs some work, and most of the weatherstripping is like black sticky sawd...
