Re: Ballast wire question
Thanks Jim That's what I thought, but self doubt set in and I was imagining conking out whilst out on a drive, the problem I've got is the car was an estate sale and they lost all the documents so anything done to it is a bit of a mystery, also the old coil was a replacement and was completely blank...

Re: Ballast wire question
Hi I'm sorry I probably wasn't clear enough, I'm using the original wiring as I found it's supplying 12v, I suspect it's been bypassed as after 1/2 and hour of running it was still supplying 12v with no drop indicated on the meter, but was unsure on the time taken for it to reduce the voltage after ...

Re: Ballast wire question
Thanks Stewie that's great, That's what I thought, but started doubting myself and was worried the voltage would drop after a time running and leave me stranded so I thought I'd ask on here for peace of mind. I agree it's one of the best things I've fitted, she was running well before but was just s...

Ballast wire question
Hi I've just fitted a Pertronix 11 ignitor and coil, was intending to hook it up to the S terminal on the rectifier, but after checking things out I suspect the ballast wire has been bypassed so I just used the existing wire and it all runs really nice. I ran it for over 1/2 an hour took it round th...

Re: Wire wheels w/skirts one 64
Hi I'm sure you know this already. To fit the skirts you will need to fit location pins onto the wheel arch and some cars that had factory fitted wire wheels weren't fitted with the fittings to screw the pins into, so that might be the first thing to check as you might have to drill the arch and fit...

Re: Weird Trunk Lid Problem??
Hi A few years back I had the same when I had the same problem when the Rams were disconnected It was the hinges catching on something, I think it was the hoses but it was a while back so my memory is a bit dim now but I'm fairly sure. It might be worth shining a light in and looking at the hinges. ...

Re: Convertible top relay replacement project
Looks like a great solution to me, it's much neater than other solutions out there.
I'm sure if you were to produce it you would have lots of interest.

Convertible top remote control
Hi guys. I've purchased a remote control from the bird nest for the top and I'm after a bit of advice regarding the fitting as I've had a bit of a medical issue so any movement is painful and a chore but I'd still rather do things myself. Does anyone know if I can get to the top switch wiring by jus...

Ball joints
Hi
I'm going to replace my upper and lower ball joints, and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with PST products and are they worth the premium over the ones available from the usual Tbird vendors.
Thanks and regards Liam
