Re: Hood Hinge Capture Nuts

Sorry, let me add a little more clarity to the issue. The bolt is still in there. It appears that the previous owner attempted to remove the bolts holding the hood to the hinge, but only succeeded in busting the nut backing loose, so it is about 3 turns from tight and "flopping" in the hole.

Hood Hinge Capture Nuts

So I've made a cursory look through the forum and couldn't find it. Is there any way to reach the nuts INSIDE the hood that should be welded in? I have one loose nut in there. Thanks Birders

FantomWorks

So I've been watching random episodes of FantomWorks on Velocity. They have what I believe to be a 63 Bird in bright red that they use constantly for the intro from commercials and what not. Has anyone seen what they have done with that car? Is it a restoration, customization, restomod? Just curious...

It's not being driven, it's on jackstands in the garage. I'm in the process of cleaning and disassembling the front suspension, I just don't see anything that looks obviously broken. The ball joints will all probably be replaced just due to the fact that they don't look like they had boot installed ...

Steering issues

Should be a quick one. I just picked this car up a couple of months ago and it has been sitting in my garage waiting for me to start workinging on her. Funds are low. The problem is; when you turn the steering wheel to the right both wheels turn right, when you return to the left, the drivers side w...

Found Black 62 TEXAS plates in yhe car I just purchased, stuck under the passanger seat. Would love to believe that they are the ones that the car first had, but wishful thinking is what I do, just like I'm dreaming that the 69,XXX on the odometer is the first 70K. I know that most of these posts se...

I'm 27 and I now own my second BulletBird. Got my first when I was 16, but couldn't afford to get parts to do the job so it went to a new home. Just got my second last week for $3k (ridiculous deal, considering the condition of the car and the goodies I keep finding "original 62 Texas Plates un...
