Thank you for your reply.

I certainly don't want to do business with a company that regards their customers as a bother. I get enough of that attitude at my Doctors office.

That's why I like this site. Replies here are honest and to the point.

You certainly have some work ahead of you but, it can be rewarding. I love to see the younger generation restoring cars that were popular in my youth. I had a 14 year old comment that the door on my 66 probably has more metal than a whole 2011 model. At least you can't dent it by leaning on it. Good...

Thanks

Brighten your headlights and other tips

http://www.madelectrical.com/electricaltech/brighter-headlights2.shtml Ran across this site when searching for electrical systems. It sounds like some good ideas here and the kit prices are reasonable. What do you think? https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Q7MYmR6AaP8/UAlGWgFlWwI/AAAAAAAAKTk/_U2kfNR...

Thank you for the replies. I'm leaning toward #3 also and I'm glad you warned me about the charge wire and installing a fuse.

Need to replace alternator.

Looks like my alternator is toast. I have some choices 1. Rebuild at a local shop 2. purchase new unit with higher output no internal voltage regulator 3. Purchase a new unit with higher output and internal voltage regulator 4. purchase an OEM type with no voltage regulator. This T Bird is a daily d...

Car VS Deep cycle battery

I noticed my bird came with a deep cycle battery and knowing that everything is always done for a reason, I did some reading.

It seems that a deep cycle battery is preferable in my case since I don't drive the Bird that much or far.

Any comments?
