I am going to install a wire off the stop light switch on the column under the dash then under the door sill chrome plate then under the back seat up into the trunk. Should I connect this into the original relay? Or can I tie it directly to the brake light lead ? I don't want to damage the stop ligh...

In the trunk with that plug I have power on the red wire. When I jump the red to the green wire then I have brake lights.
