Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

I think it goes under the name North Texas Thunderbird. The president drives and shows his award winning 66 convertible and lives in east Texas. He is the current president. We walked away and neither of us joined the club. We are doing a show tonight in Athens Tx. with the 67 Tbird, 69 Mark III and...

Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

Exactly Steve, my bro, Scott :grab: wants a 71 beak bird just to piss him off. I've owned a 61,62,63,64, and 66 and the 67 is the nicer, plusher, and more solid than the older generations. This so called president ( spaced his name since he pissed me off ) should have embraced ANY Thunderbird at the...

Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

I couldn't agree more. Here in east Texas it's the same 55,56,57 Chevy then Corvettes, then Camaros, then Mustang. Love em but I walk on by them as I've seen so many in my lifetime. As far as the 67-71 Thunderbirds, even the current president of the Thunderbird Club for North Texas was so rude to my...

Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

Exactly, we started acting up at a restaurant, we were out to the car. We got dad's belt, mom's hairbrush, our a green switch off the tree. I went to a one room country school, rode my horse to school till 3rd grade (busing started in 64) grew up without running water in the house or country school....

Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

As kids we would sleep on the rear shelf in the rear windshield of mom's 63 Valiant. She'd go to jail these days. The interior photo of the 67 Bird, brought back some memories. Imagine sitting on a pillow on the centre consul, as your dad drove the car and family, to EXPO 67 in Montreal, from Toront...

Re: 67 Thunderbird and 69 Mark III

Thank you for your compliments. The barn was a kit I bought out of Arkansas. Put it up mostly ourselves, except for attaching the roof tin. I hired that done because it was to tall at 26'. The height freaked me out. Yes I luv the buckets and console. Nice pair, and I LOVE the barn! Wish I had one of...

Re: No brake lights on 67

I am going to install a wire off the stop light switch on the column under the dash then under the door sill chrome plate then under the back seat up into the trunk. Should I connect this into the original relay? Or can I tie it directly to the brake light lead ? I don't want to damage the stop ligh...

Re: No brake lights on 67

In the trunk with that plug I have power on the red wire. When I jump the red to the green wire then I have brake lights. I can't imagine a broken wire as there is not one thing altered or disturbed or ever wrecked. My brothers Tbird is showroom garage kept with 68K. This switch in the steering colu...
