Re: 1962 T-bird single to dual master cylinder

Rockauto's P/N: MC 64829 shows an equivalent to "Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): F64829." Would the following be of any use, https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... sn=3&jsn=3 and https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/wagne ... inder,1836. The problem with that part number is that it no...

Re: Transmission shifter and linkage problem

Why thank you. I had to go back to work to earn a little more cash before full retirement. Work is a drag that gets in the way of our hobby isn't it?

Re: Transmission shifter and linkage problem

Have you already looked at your shift detent behind the steering wheel? That is the first thing to check before going into the transmission. The instructions to replace it are here http://www.southsandia.com/forum/website/shiftdetent.html . It costs about $100 for the parts and is well worth changin...

Re: Making a bench testing power supply from a computer P/S

I've been away from the forum for a while. I just saw this post. Wonderful. It's very cool when someone builds on your idea and takes it to another level. That is how science works. I get inquiries from around the world regarding my basic zinc plating article. Some people have taken it and improved ...

Re: electrical or maybe a fuse

Hey, Tom - what better for me to do, on a rainy Saturday morning, than read 4 year-old threads on electrical wizardry? At least you get rain. I don't think it has rained her for a more than a month now. We did have a fairly wet winter though. The Rio Grande is flowing at record levels for...

What kind of compressors has he tried? I used the OEM 27035 rented from Autozone. Worked safely for me when I properly used it. http://www.southsandia.com/forum/frontsuspension/picture9.jpg http://www.southsandia.com/forum/frontsuspension/picture12.jpg Here is the thread: http://www.vintagethunderbi...

Re: Heater fuse blow every time I turn it on.

Well it's getting cold and I would love a heater. Everything is working fine just replaced the motor. Test lighting comes back hot everything should work fine. Once you plug into on/off controls it frys a fuse. What year car and does it have A/C? Make sure you are using a 14A fuse in the box. What ...

Re: Brighter Dash Lights

I am glad that you like them. Yes, some things from China take a long time. I will find out the base# of that other bulb. I replaced that bulb too. I will find a US seller for it so you don't have to wait for the shipping container to go through the Panama Canal.

Re: Brighter Dash Lights

BA9S
That is the base type. The reason it came up as non-compatible is that Ebay uses a standard template for car parts. It is non-compatible because the originals were incandescent. Believe me, the link I gave you will work.

Re: Brighter Dash Lights

If any would have the time to add a quick tutorial for the upgrade, I'm sure many would be thankful. There is no wiring involved. You simply replace the incandescent bulbs with the LED bulbs. It's just a matter of getting behind the instruments. That means removing the clock and the left cluster. Y...

Re: Brighter Dash Lights

One thing to keep in mind is that I don't believe the technology for these has gotten to the place where they are dimmable yet . So be aware what you get in brightness is what you get.
They are fully dimmable. I will take a picture of my dash. It glows beautifully with these lights.

Re: Dash Lights

I fixed my problem, it was the 12 amp circuit breaker for the auxiliary lights. I moved the wires to the ho side of the breaker and it worked. I am not familiar with the 63 wiring changes as I have a 62. Regardless, if you circuit breaker is bad, connecting your wire to the hot side is an extremely...
