Re: Moog T-469 Spring Compressor
I know they aren't cheap and am willing to pay, I plan to own multiple of these cars for a very long time so it would not be for a one off job.

Moog T-469 Spring Compressor
I know this isn't a Thunderbird part per say but I am looking for this tool as a permanent addition to my chest. Let me know if you have one you are willing to part ways with. Send me a PM or post here.

Re: Pulling Trans with or without bellhousing?
I was planning on cutting the exhaust before the H-pipe so I could just remove the pipes and leave the rear still attached. I don't see how bad unbolting the flanged ends from the manifold would be barring any stuck bolts.

Pulling Trans with or without bellhousing?
Almost done with my spare transmission rebuild (will post a teardown and rebuild process after completion) and wanted to know everyone's opinions on pulling the transmission out from under the car. I would rather pull with the bellhousing attached as to reach the four regular bolts would be a pita a...

COM Transmission Rear Thrust Bearing & Pump Housing
Doing a rebuild of the 65 transmission and I found that my rear thrust bearing between the output shaft and the pump has exploded. Looking for a rear bearing & race, 68 and up FMX bearing is close in size but will not work I tried. Also looking for a pump housing if both are available.

Re: 1966 rear valance
Unfortunately these were never reproduced and most of the parts cars I have come by have had rear valence damage. The fact that the 66 rear valence is different from the 64 & 65 is also no help. Your best bet would be to cut yours off and hammer out any dents or dings or find another that is onl...

Where to get a new/rebuilt torque convertor?
Hey guys the hardtop has been recently showing signs of morning sickness and I am about to do a rebuild on a spare cruise-o-matic I have lying around to swap in. I wanted to replace the torque converter with a newer unit but I am getting a variety of different listings, which one have you guys used/...

1965 Thunderbird Hardtop
Well after a big wind storm my hardtop was crushed by a tree. I am looking for another 65 Hardtop, not a landau or convertible. Preferably with AC and Manual windows, but not picky for a clean example. I am not in a super rush to replace it but I thought I would keep a long term listing here. Willin...

Different Brake Boosters
So I am redoing the brake system on my 65 and was planning to go with a dual bowl conversion from a 67 Mustang, however I just found out the booster is also shot. After looking around it seems no one really sells a redone Bendix anymore and its only a ship and rebuild your old one. Has anyone found ...

Re: Manual Convertible Top
I doubt that this car will ever be available for resale at least not as a complete car, I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. All I am trying to do is make a more practical top for daily use. In my opinion fixing the current power system is a waste as eventually down the line something else ...

Manual Convertible Top
Had this idea the other day and was wondering how hard it may be to make the 65 convertible power top into a hand operated one. I figured that if you replace the hydraulic rams with some sizable gas springs, and add a handle/make a tool to lift up the deck lid from close you could operate this by ha...

64-66 Manual Window Regulators
Hey everyone been a while but I am in the market for some manual window regulators. Just picked up a new 65 that had the 6 way power windows but a grass fire under the dash burned out the power window harness and figured this would be a good candidate for a manual window swap. If you know where I ca...
