The Ford Manual does not show the schematic for the two switches. So... I would check with an ohm meter each pin and circuit on the 8 pin switch. Then cut the 7 pin switch as you show with the red line and see how it mimmics the 8 pin switch. Worst case I think it might be possible to find a used 8 ...

Of course you need both switches to check the circuts. It is my belief that the 8 pin switches were used in the early 64's then 4 to 6 months later Ford changed the wireing and switches to the 7 pin. There is no note in the wireing schematics. Lucky me I was able to find a new 8 pin switch on this s...

I had a similar problem. The early 64's (as far as I can determine) had an 8 pin Headlight switch and harnness. Later year 64's had a 7 pin switch and matching harness. The electrical schematic in the Ford manual does not show the 8 pin type. Thunderbird suppliers have the 7 pin. I was lucky to find...

Very easy to remove, just be sure not to short out any wires connected to the back or disconnect the battery when you remove the clock. DO NOT USE OIL OTHER THAN OIL THAT IS LABLED CLOCK OIL. A small 12 volt power supply will drive the clock nicely.

The orginal clocks work great with a little maintaince and lubrication. Easy to have them maintained. If the battery is allowed to drain with the clock running it is possible to damage the points in the clock the rewind the spring. They may have to be changed. As an antique clock repairman and antiq...

The deceptive thing is that what we see on the Speed Channel is mostly out of our league. But those cars that are sold on the off hours not on TV are in our price range. The many car things that are not cars that are sold in the morning are also in our garages. Many of the items sold in the booths a...

I have actually seen this Thunderbird at a number of So. Cal Car Shows. It is one fine rare bird. Tom's is not as rare but a 57 fully restored with stock blower is rare by any standard. Another local Thunderbird fellow owns 001 Mustang here in the So. Cal area. It also has had a total restoration.

Sorry misspelled Tom's last name it is Maruska. The auction is Barrett Jackson and the little bird is up tomorrow late in the afternoon. Tom has restored a Thunderbird each year for the last 4 or 5 years. Last year B/J sold his Italian Thunderbird and it now resides in the Blackhawk Museum. Google T...

I put the heavy duty sway bar on the front of my 63 and I think it made a worth while difference. I don't have any feelling or evidence that the rear needs one.

Check out what Gary offers for a modification. He takes your stock radio, removes the guts and replaces them with a modern AM-FM Radio. The face, dial and buttons work as they did when it was stock. The look is stock but I think her offers up to 80 watts of power. Change the speaker to one that will...
