Re: Thunderbird Illustrated publication
Alan, Thanks for your quick and insightful reply! I respect your knowledge and advice, thus I will continue to read these books with interest, but will not implement nor quote any of its comments. Your concern about the lack of post '66 bird articles for our Scoop magazine is sad, but true. I've met...

Thunderbird Illustrated publication
Just received Thunderbird Illustrated Volume 1 Numbers 1,2,3 & 4 and Volume 2 Numbers 1, 2, 3 & 4 from a vendor on ebay. Reportedly the Publisher was Jake Vandersluis and it was published quarterly by Thunderbird Publications in California. The 8 books have some great pictures and very inter...

Re: Trying To Salvage My Radio
Ralph Poor has "fixed" two of my radios. An AM/FM radio for our '65 and an AM plus 8 track for our '66. Both radios now sound great and if you have a factory installed rear seat speaker (on the '654) he can fix the knob to make it function just like it did from the factory. Make sure you t...

1964 Ford Thunderbird Turn Signals not working
I have a 1964 Ford thunder bird. The two signal indicators on the fender do not work . Nor does the driver side turn signal work in the front. All rear turn signal indicators work, left and right. I traced the wires from the front indicators and driver side turn signal back to the steering column. I...

Are they the standard hubcap or the optional "spinner" cap?

1966 Parchment Seat Belts
Looking for an original set of 1966 Parchment interior seat belts that are in good condition. Possibly someone's rear belts from a parts car are in good enough condition to be used for a concours condition front seat application. Let me know what you have.

1966 P9 leather interior
Getting ready to replace the original P9 (leather - Parchment color) seat covers in our '66 convertible. Several of the Thunderbird parts suppliers offer replacement leather covers. I've been told the original Parchment color is hard to accurately reproduce. Does anyone know if all of the suppliers ...

Re: 1965 Radio noise suppression condenser.
Many thanks for the quick replies!!
It sounds like the one Bob suggested is the one that's most likely an exact replacement for the one that is currently broken on my '65 alternator.

1965 Radio noise suppression condenser.
The connection wire to my radio noise suppression condenser (mounted on the alternator) broke off. Has anyone ever successfully repaired one of these? If not, does anyone know the part number? Or better yet, does anyone know where I can find a replacement?

Re: '66 8 track face plate
I have an extra, but it isn't "show quality". It's not bad, but it does have some very small pits in it.
After obtaining several, I finally had to send the one for our '66 out and have it re-chromed as none of them were ideal.
I'll send you a picture if you want.

Re: Bias-ply vs Radial replacement tires.
Three years ago we put a set of the Diamond Back Dunlap radials on our '65 convertible. They have the correct width white wall with the red band and do look like the tires that were available on T'birds in 1965. We've now put nearly 15,000 miles on these tires with no issues at all. The Dunlap tire ...
