I've got a used 63 grill in good shape. A little pitting but appears would clean up well.

Re: Holley Tripower Carb Base Repair?
Alan, I've seen some really good repairs done with the Muggy weld welding rods and such. (MUGGYWELD.COM? There was a guy done here in NC that did some excellent work on carb and intake work. Fixed all types of rare pot metal parts. Unfortunately I looked for him a year ago or so and he had shut down...

Re: New Member from Arizona
Great Car!! A few suggestions. Check out the Thunderbird businesses that support the VTCI for those floor mats, original parts etc. As for the Kelsey Hayes wheels, the original were 48 spoke and had issues with spokes breaking and such. If you plan to do any serious driving the T-bird shops have wir...

Re: Disaster bird
Jen, you may want to get some sort of firmish price from your mechanic. My donor car had sat for 10+ years outside and the brakes were all rusted up, Me with the right tools took a good day to free everything up. I had to remove the backing front backing plates with drums stuck to get them apart. So...

Re: Did All FE-engined TBirds have a block spacer plate?
Jim, my donor 62 is all original and has no spacer plate. My late model 62 roadster engine was replaced approximately 8K mile ago as I was told due to an hole being made in the oil pan while drive down the interstate thus causing the engine to throw a rod and destroy the block. The reman engine is a...

Re: I need to replace my roof, do I need to brace the car?
Well, I’ve replaced a few roofs in my time. Mt suggestion is to cut your donor roof fully off at the front pillar bottoms and all the way around the back into the quarter panels and the rear panel under the rear windshield. This way you can cut your old roof off and have enough on the donor roof to ...

Re: Rust repairs
I've purchased from Classic Sheet Metal and even went by their shop. Amazing workmanship. He has made all of his custom forming dies as well as many of his hydraulic presses. I purchased the battery box replacement panel and the fit is excellent. Yes, any panel will need some massaging to fit. As so...

Re: Rear axle housing leak
Give it a good cleaning and have someone TIG weld it. Maybe just fuse it. Grind down flat (using a straight edge) and reassembly with plenty of gasket sealant. Use a good sealant like Permatex.
