So I crimped down on the tube, cinched it down and this thing would not budge. After working on it a bit it broke off... Pretty easily. I ended up using a smaller Flathead screwdriver to wedge between the tube and block, got it in a little way, tried the same on the other side... Looked like I may b...

I did some reading but haven't found a solution. I'm having some trouble getting the metal tube out of the engine block that connects into the back of the water pump (coupled with a 2"or so piece of rubber hose). The tube is rusted and falling apart, I put some liquid wrench on it but haven't h...

There are a number of cheap-o sound dampeners out there - parts express used to sell some that was much cheaper than dynomat Like dusty says -layer the cheap stuff up and it will perform the same. On a side note -I always see people putting the stuff on bigger panels like the insides of their quarte...

I don't know how you feel about losing your heat and ac if you have it... All the stuff under the dash probly weighs close to a hundred pounds... Also you may want to consider losing the dash altogether, get some gauges and build a lightweight dash of some sort -that would prolly save 50 pounds or so
