Parking break hint
I spent some time under the dash replacing some vacuum lines and got the parking break release working great! Then I noticed that when the parking break is set, the car still rolls like nothing happened. Before I start crawling around, please tell me where to find the cable that runs to the rear bre...

Which Trunk lock cover
My trunk lock cover came off in my hand a few months ago. I ordered a nice one off eBay and now I look at it and it's bigger? Just the same but bigger. I looked in MACs catalog and they have it but it doesn't seem to say if it's the larger or smaller one? What year has the small ones? Source for sma...

Rear vent hose suddenly blocked ?
My car had a mid-level restoration last year. All systems worked but my rear vents stopped opening. They used to snap open and shut great. So I attached a vacuum pump/gauge to the hose that runs back, and pumped it up.....nothing. Vents don't budge and vacuum gauge needle doesn't drop. Seems like ho...

Voltage regulator cure for bouncy amp needle?
Hi all, I received my car back from about 2 years of restoration work a few months back and all seems to be working great except one thing. While sitting at stoplights the ammeter needle will move from the center (M in Amp) over to the A just for half a second and engine will shutter that half secon...

yes I agree. but I can't pull the ignition switch out far enough to see which wire the pink is connected to (I can only see a loop of pink disappearing into a taped up harness where the green with red stripe and red with green stripe run into as well.) Of course I have no osborn manual. Mainly I jus...

Im doing the same now. (Pertronix I with 12V coil). Runs fine with original resistor wire but I want to replace It to get 12V to coil. I found the pink wire terminating under dash on passenger side and found other end behind the ignition switch (but cant see the end). It is said that it is plugged i...

Newly rebuilt transmission hesitates from stop
I just got my car back from a year long medium restoration! Very happy but trying to pay attention to any strange behaviors. The two problems I seem to have: when sitting at a stop light the idle speed will surge a bit at about every 5-10 seconds. Doesn't come close to stalling, just annoying. Then,...

What do you all carry in terms of a small "repair kit" in you birds?
obviously the few screw drivers, pliers, and wrench but any other things we should not be on the road without? ( Dont say spare carb or fold up bicycle.)

black console paint in edges of trim?
Hi guys, I need to touchup/replace the black 3/4" line that lies within the trim of the center console/dash. Is it to be gloss black, flat or the wrinkle coating stuff?? I have not clue.
Thanks
