Re: Seat Brackets
A whole new seat for $720 is probably cheaper than covers, cushions, and labor. I say this because I bought seat foam for my 66 passenger seat with recliner for $200 and now the labor to install it is $300. My covers are in great shape but I think those are around 250 per seat.

Re: Seat Brackets
As Alan suggested in a different discussion today try contacting those T-bird parts vendors that help support VTCI and this Forum/website which deal in used parts. Chances are very good that they may have an original one on the shelf or on a parts car.

French 57
I saw this on barn finds. How much do we know about French exports from 57?

Re: Cup holder
I have upgraded my design to hold my cell phone. I bent up a piece of stainless steel and attached it under the center bolt that was also an add on basically to stop the bottom of the phone from sliding out.

It's been a couple years since anyone has posted here. Any newer folks out there want to show off?

Re: New member & car - '66 Town Hardtop
I have the same car. No red band tires but I have deluxe spinner hub caps in the garage. I have AM 8 track. My interior was dark blue vinyl and fabric but was changed to white vinyl on the seats by previous owner. I've owned the car for just over 20 years. Sapphire blue is rare but it is out there. ...

Re: My next project
A blue Thunderbird, I like it. I wonder why 59 is my favorite square Bird because of the chrome spear on the door, I have dreamed of light blue.. I've never seen that color before but it looks cool. Good luck with it, customizing sounds very intriguing.

Re: 64-66 OFS Revisions - Preliminary Notice of New Edition
Alan, I m sorry if I touched a nerve. I was just asking. I also work full time in the health care industry and have approximately 25 more years until retirement. I am also running around with 3 teenage sons playing a total of 5 different sports.

Re: 64-66 OFS Revisions - Preliminary Notice of New Edition
I see in the latest scoop that the 64-66 OFS doesn't appear different yet. Is there any update on ETA. I was thinking of asking for this from Santa Claus this year.

Looks great. My mom had a 65 Landau same color. See found out 66 was the last year of the convertible and traded it in. Check in with the Thunderbird registry.

Re: Starter relay options
I have another first that I saw a a recent car show. The attached picture is a 66 with 390 and a separate junction block of sorts that the three wires that attach to the positive battery cable side of the relay. Has anyone else ever seen this. I couldn't find the owner of the car but I have talked t...

Re: Starter relay options
Thanks guys for the advice. I'm going to start with Davids advice and check ground connections underneath first and order a new relay. I still think it's a relay issue only because when I switch relays, I get different results but a bad ground somewhere may effect different relays in different ways....

Re: Accepting tips to improve my 66 before a Concours d'Elegance
Hi Scott, thanks for clearing up some details on the gasket that I wasn't aware of. I got a question about your oil dipstick handle, weren't those painted while installed on the engine and be corporate blue. I'm all about learning everything about a 66
