If you can get the casting number off the new block, the one that you are trying to install, then maybe someone can determine what year/ vehicle it came from.

They fit fine, ride height good and car rear much stiffer. Old ones were hard to remove. Used new bushings which were 2 piece so much easier to install. Go on ebay, ask for "1962 thunderbird leaf springs"

I am fighting the same problem. I replaced the holly with a new edlebrock and it does the same thing. I just installed a new engine but it was the same with the old motor. I believe the carb is flooding while it sits. I had fords with 390 motors in the '60s and they ran great. The barbershop regular...

Transmission fluid

I know everyone recommends type F fluid, and thats what i'm using but the shop manual says use type A. The lable on the type F bottle says "Use when type F fluids are recommended" So is Type A still available and does it matter?

correct power steering hose

Anyone know if the correct high pressure power steering hose for a '62 has a restrictive orifice? I am on the second pump in 5000 miles. I stumbled on to a article online that said there was a collar about 12" from the bottom end that had a 0.070 orifice and the wrong hose would cause the pump ...
