Re: Turn signal relay

I am wondering if this is related issue:(1965) When signal is activated, both right or left, the front signal lights and the rear middle lights but neither blinks. The rear sequence also lights from center out, and the outer light do go off and then resequence. The fender indicators do not light. At...

Re: Chinese radiators

I drove my 65 for years in the winters of Montana. I can tell you that they work just fine in the cold. Interestingly, in drive 2, you start in second, which keeps you from spinning out as bad on snow and ice when starting. That's a feature you don't even have now in most cars for winter driving! PS...

You might checkout one more thing. there is a small voltage regulator in the dash that regulates the power to the gages. I had problems with fuel gages being off and temp and oil were also off because this regulator was causing the gages to be higher or lower than they should be. Don't know if this ...

I have the same problem, but the trick is that the wiper control was set to come on when you pull the washer. there are seven positions (if you are careful to "feel" them), and it wants to slip out of the off and into the first position. I think part of the issue is the catch in the washer...

The bulb I believe is held in by a holder, and you turn it counter clockwise to remove it and get to the bulb. It was a tight fit, but you have to reach through clock housing hole or the speaker hole to reach across and behind. Unless you want the instructions on how to remove the entire speedometer...

I have a 65 landau as well. the numbers should glow a bright green and look black when not lit with silver around them. the number lights are located on the back top of the speedometer 4 or 5, and the there are two on the lower half that light up the Line (which is really a tube that rotates and is ...

There are more lights to replace behind the numbers. but they are hard to get to from under the dash and you have to remove lots of stuff unless you have really small hands.

New wheels for old hubcaps?

I have tried to order new wheels (from Les Schwab) (I want to keep using my hubcaps)for my 65 but the "standard" after market wheel for Ford seems to be the one that won't fit the front because of the disk brake issue. Does anyone know where to order the right size wheel? Been looking at w...

Color Rose Beige

Does any one know how many 65 Tbirds were made this color with the black vinyl roof Landau? I've always been curious as this has been in my family since 1967. Dealer in 67 told my mom it had been 1st prize in the Whitefish Montana golf tournament and was traded in for a Caddy. (His loss was my gain!...
