61-63 front bumper. Free to a good home

I have a straight front bumper from a 63 that I always kept just in case my 62 met with an unfortunate accident. That never happened and I sold the car. So I have my spare bumper taking up space. Good rechrome candidate and if you really need it (and not grabbing it for resale) then come and get it....

Window regulator repair questions ::UPDATE::

I'm looking for another RH power window regulator for my 62 HT, so I posted in the parts wanted section. But the problem is in the transmission. I can turn the shaft counter-clockwise and the large gear moves in the direction to raise the window. When I turn the shaft clockwise, the shaft unscrews f...

need a 62 RH Power window regulator real soon

My problem is with the gear reduction unit. The input shaft doesn't turn at all. Well, it didn't until I forced it, now it spins in place, accomplishing nothing. oops.

./image-archive/i76.photobucket.com/albums/j13/ken-stevens/1962%20Thunderbird/image_zps96f4df5a.jpg This Constant Voltage Regulator puts out 5.5 vdc if I remember correctly. I pulled this one from my Lincoln and put in a solid state CVR. The new CVR doesn't have a radio suppression choke on it, but...

the original seat has white stitching in the insert, while the cheaper covers do not. That white stitching really makes a difference. I was told the original stitching is nylon which will not be as colorfast as other materials so eventually it fades to white. I wish I could tell you where I purchas...

So hopefully between the angle and the nozzle, I can get it done. 2nd option will be to try and "touch up" the vents by hand. 3rd option will be to blind anyone that comes to look, 4rth and last will be dash removal. What about having the windshield removed and reinstalled by one of those...

Mine looked just like that! What I wasn't ready for was the flow of fuel when I pulled off the old rotted flex line. The hard line from the tank is lower than the bottom of the tank so it became a siphon and the gas was streaming out until I could fit a new line on there and clamp it off. What a fla...

Thanks Alan. I'll be diving into it tomorrow afternoon. I have the osborne body book but I didn't see any exploded drawing in there. I'll check to see if I can find the blue bible. It's somewhere among my car books!

The flex line is accessed through the inner fender liner, there are 5-6 screws visible behind the drivers front wheel, it's easier if you take the wheel off but not essential. My liner must be really caked with undercoating and dirt, because I can't see any fasteners. I'll start spraying all the so...

Fuel line behind inner fender liner

Discovered a leak from the flexible fuel line right where it goes behind the driver's inner fender splash pan. It's in there tight and I don't know how to access the flex line to replace it. The Osborne Body manual has been no help and the shop manual shows a picture with no instructions. I have bee...

Wire Wheel Style

while the Sports Roadster wheels were bead-laced, might a well-laced wheel be easier to seal against air leaks? From what I can see in the pics, The dash vents are wrong, I don't believe the upholstery is correct, the exhaust is incorrect aftermarket, and the engine and trans pans should not be blue. That really isn't a car that should sell for 40-grand IMHO

I see the fender skirt pins are not there, nor are there holes for them. Was that typical for these cars when skirts were not factory ordered? I know SRs didn't have them, but I thought I'd ask.

I have a 61 Lincoln Convertible and I can't take it out without hearing a Kennedy reference. I was a freshman in college when it happened and I remember it well, but am surprised as to the mixed up facts I hear regarding the assassination. It was an emotional milestone similar to 9/11. It's one of t...
