Re: 62 power window overload relay
Also there is a 15 amp breaker on the ground of each window motor. For the front windows they are located behind the kick panel. One on the passenger side and one on the driver's side

Re: 62 power window overload relay
Problem solved. Long story short. 30 amp breaker at starter solenoid. What confused me was when I checked for voltage at the window switch I had 12 volts. when the motor worked 12 volts, when the motor didn't work 12 volts. Evidently enough voltage was bleeding through to show voltage, but no enough...

Re: 62 power window overload relay
I agree , breaker in the switch is a stretch. There must be a breaker on the ground. I always have 12 volts on the line side of the switch. The drawing I have shows a 30 amp at the source and a 15 on the ground for each motor

Re: 61-63 data plate information
Probably not going to be much help, but with the position the fast idle cam is in (in the pic) I don't think the screw should touch the cam. When the fast idle cam is rotated about 90 degrees counterclockwise it should touch and that's where it is opening the throttle plates. In the position it's in...

Re: 62 power window overload relay
Thanks for the reply Jim. I can see most of the wiring and what I can't see I can feel, nothing but wire. Wondering if the breaker is built into the switches.

Re: 62 power window overload relay
Also, I never lose 12 volts at the switches even when the motor doesn't work. Thinking overload on ground side

62 power window overload relay
Where are the overload relays for power window motors. Working on the front driver side. Will be working on the passenger side front next. I have removed the window motor from the regulator. Took the motor apart cleaned the shaft and bushing. Reassembled the motor, shaft seems to turn ok. Plugged in...

Re: Ignition bezel won't stay on
First remove the lock cylinder. Turn it to acc. Put a paper clip or something in the small hole and turn a little more, then remove the cylinder. Now you can Install the bezel. Push the ignition switch toward the dash ( this is not easy. Very little room behind the switch. Might need to use a screwd...
