Seat covers

Post by rheckman »

Anybody out there bought any Repro seat covers from Macs or Larrys.
And if so any opinions?
Thanks

My 65's seat skins came from Mac's and went on nicely. Unless you have a set custom made they are probably coming from the same manufacturer regardless of vendor.

I had success with repro covers for my front buckets from Macs. Bought the covers and the seat foams. Took my time with disassembly (took lots of pics), one seat at a time. Painted the frames and reinstalled the burlaps and used lots of hog rings. You need the hog ring tool for sure. Buy extra hog rings you will need them. Colour match was great and I had a difficult colour -Silver Mink...but I was happy with the match to the rest of the interior which is original. I was happy with the quality as well.

Hope this helps.

Is the vinyl close to the same thickness as original?

I found that they were. I was confident when I was stretching to get them to fit proper on the new foam cushions,
